About Shubhra
I have studied, trained and worked as a counseling psychologist for 23 years and counting. In 2025, I underwent further training as a life coach and I am now an ICF Certified Life Coach working towards my PCC Accreditation.
It has been my privilege to live in seven countries and of being given the chance to travel to many more. This global nomadism has played an irreplaceable role in shaping me as a person and the way I practice counseling and coaching.
I enjoy meeting others who are different from me and I honour our uniqueness. I also keep finding out the ways in which we’re all so similar and celebrate our shared human experiences.
I approach my practice from a place of gentle curiosity. Who are you? What makes you, you? I aim to instil a strong sense of safety in being fully seen without any judgement.
I do this because this is how I myself would ideally like to be treated by others.
The world is first and foremost an exciting place, countless discoveries are waiting to be made. There are expeditions to go on and quests to fulfil. We often forget this and seem to zero in on the horror and tragedy of it all.
This is where I find the emblem of the turtle a soothing reminder of the wise path.
A path of compassionate steadiness.
Quiet contemplation and measured actions that organically carve out a space for bursts of glee, thrill and revelry.
A sustained study of your own evolving self that leads to a more joyous existence.
The turtle has shown up for me in my own moments of vulnerability over the years and I hope it gives you the same comfort in yours.
